Hello,
Welcome to my personal website!

I am a passionate and driven Data Scientist based in Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. With a background in economics and extensive experience in data analysis, I thrive on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive business decisions and improve performance.

I translate data into valuable and comprehensible insights. My goal is to improve results with data-driven facts and help decision-makers. I interacted with many internal and external teams including executive level management teams and ambassadors. I demonstrated significant leadership qualities as well as the ability to work independently and as a team member. I am a quick learner with strong analytical and statistical skills.

~Professional Journey~

I have been working as a Data Analyst II in the HazMat Training Department at International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) in Washington, DC since July 2021. Over the past few years, I've advanced from Data Analyst I to my current position, thanks to my dedication and outstanding performance. My role involves developing interactive dashboards, creating comprehensive reports on instructor performances as well as financial status reports on grant allocation and spendings, and automating processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Previously, I worked as a Marketing Data Analyst Associate at Sahouri Insurance and Financials in McLean, VA. My data journey began in e-commerce, where I analyzed sales data and managed online sales channels and marketing efforts for Topaz LLC (now DecoHub ), a start-up retail company. This role honed my skills in data visualization, email marketing, and web development.

In addition to my data analysis expertise, I served as a Foreign Service Career Officer (Diplomat) at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for five years. During this time, I had the honor of working at the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq for one year and the Turkish Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh for another year. This experience broadened my international perspective and honed my skills in communication, cultural sensitivity, and problem-solving.

I am bilingual, fluent in English and Turkish. I lived in 5 different countries and visited 11 different countries.

~Educational Background~

I hold Master of Economics (ME) Degree from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, I was awarded a prestigious Turkish Government Fellowship.
